Carmen Smith

Carmen Smith is the Global Travel & Expense Services Manager at Immunocore, where she leads travel and expense management across the business. With over 25 years of experience, Carmen's extensive knowledge and leadership make her a valuable asset in the travel industry. She has played a pivotal role in developing state-of-the-art travel programs for several companies throughout her career. Carmen has also operated her own travel consulting firm, providing advisory services to sports teams, world-class track and field athletes, and government and commercial clients.

Currently, Carmen serves as GBTA Greater DC Metro's President and also serves on the Accommodations Committee of GBTA (Greater Business Travel Association. Several industry awards have recognized her contributions, including the 2020 GBTA Chapter President's Council Business Travel Service Award. Additionally, she was honored as one of WINiT's Top 50 Women in Travel in 2021. Carmen previously served on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strand of TAMs (Travel and Meetings Society).
Outside of work, Carmen enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. In May 2023, she launched the "I Smell a Rat Podcast," a show where she delves into various subjects to unearth the core of the matter and analyze their overall impact.
